Dear Friend,

Research has never isolated any infectious agent-bacterium or virus-from the brains of MS patients, so the disease is not considered contagious. Currently accepted U.S. theory is that multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease, perhaps activated by a virus and having genetic and gender components. Although current U.S. treatments are based on this model, there is no known cure.

Decades of MS Theory and No Cure

People believed MS was caused by suppression of sweat. The condition was treated with herbs and bed rest. Life expectancy after diagnosis was 5 years.
People believed MS was caused by an unknown blood toxin. It was treated with purgatives and stimulants. Life expectancy after diagnosis was 10 years.
People believed MS was caused by blood clots and poor circulation. It was treated with drugs to improve circulation. Life expectancy after diagnosis was 18 years.
People believed MS was caused by allergic reaction. It was treated with vitamins and antihistamines. Life expectancy after diagnosis was 25 years.  " VITAMINS " :-)

People believed MS was caused by an autoimmune reaction, possibly linked to a virus. It was treated with steroids and immune system regulating drugs.

''The warning and side effects from the M.S. Disease Modifying Drugs.  Liver Disease and Death. My liver enzymes went to the MOON!  And I stopped all drugs to save my liver!  I have been using Isagenix Nutritional Cleansing since 2006 for M.S. and I began HBOT at a local Dr's Office for Multiple Sclerosis Therapy..  August 2014.

Following this last theory, the immune response in MS may vary due to how quickly the body recognizes invading microbes, myelin, or other particulate ingested material as a threat and how quickly it mobilized the protective response of the endothelial cells. Endothelial cells, which line the blood vessels, are inefficient in bactericidal activity. The lymphocytes in the blood may also vary in their ability to produce the appropriate antibodies—this variability in response may explain a genetic basis for disease susceptibility, as well as how severely an individual is affected.

Advanced imaging and electrophysiologic techniques challenge the traditional concept of MS being either a relapsing/remitting disease eventually becoming progressive or a chronic progressive from the onset. Chataway’s research suggests that MS never sleeps—that it is always chronically progressive pathologically, if not clinically.

Patients who continue HBOT treatment may be able to discontinue the use of some of their other pharmaceuticals.  In my case I am only using Vitamins "ISAGENIX" and HBOT!  NONE of this is covered by any Insurance.  My friends helping me is helping me! The Disease Modifying Drugs did not help me, I experienced serious side effects. 

SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) scans, which create images showing how blood flows within the body, suggest that the central nervous system lesions from M.S. lack oxygen. In particular, much observed damage (sclerosis) appears to be focused around the small venules leading away from capillaries. The location of this damage raises one more question about the as-yet-undetermined cause of multiple sclerosis. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Has Helped ME with MS by reducing the chronic pain and allowing me to walk without assistance.

Don't you feel your worth it? I remember being younger and losing friendships due to not showing up in time or sometimes not at all. As if they didn't matter enough for me to be there. I would miss bills or procrastinate even on the littlest things... I would continually use Passive aggressive behavior and I didn't understand why life wouldn't change... I would tell myself, "but I'm a good person, why do I lose friends, jobs or I am considered unreliable?". We'll one day do to some awesome people around me, I discovered that I had no self worth... I let people walk on me or I would be afraid to express myself fully. You see when I realized this and realized that not showing up on time or doing what I say I will was not only affecting the people around me but in essence I was saying I was not worth it. I didn't deserve success or friends etc and so forth. I didn't fully love myself and so the cycle kept going. So now when I wake up I do my damndist to do what I say not only with the people around me but with myself. Every time I do, I get a rush of self worth. Is it hard? Yeah, sometimes I regress but I know enough and I care enough about myself to get up and try again. Baby steps, even if it's just i will have taken a shower by 8am. That way if you do by 7:30 bam!!!! Integrity yourself and a boost of self esteem and worth. (Nad you will smell better)  soon you'll got deadlines, you'll have better communication and you will have the money to pay your bills. So ask yourself, do you believe you are worth it?  Kev

''Dear MS,
Boy oh boy you sure do have a plan for me don't ya?  Look at our love/hate relationship! You have opened amazing doors for me and yet you're slowly destroying my body. How do I feel today about you? you're SELFISH and ABUSIVE with a sick twisted sense of humor. I want a DIVORCE!
You are resistant to the therapies my Dr's want me to try on you, you gave me cellulitis in 7 different injection sites and YOU want me to keep taking the risks so you can change up the rules and say, "Catch up lady! I'm here to stay! those DMMS can't help you nowwww...."
Idk if one could strangle a disease but if you had a neck, I'd THROTTLE you!! I'm tired of crying. I'm tired of feeling positive when I'm scared. Tired of not feeling like myself. I'm tired of appearing strong for appearance sake when really i am just panicked and frightened over what you're doing to me. You make me feel like a fucking fraud in front of my loved ones and those rooting for me.
I know what your plans are for me and I'm certainly going to FIGHT you until I take my last breath. Thanks to YOU, I'm declining again, all because you didn't like the ‪#‎copaxoneinjections‬. Congratulations MS, you may have control over my mind and my body but you won't see me throw in the towel. I need loved ones' support and encouragement and Patience to make it through this because you are my biggest enemy and hurdle in life. I don't CARE if this entry sounds negative. its not who I am 24/7... I'm grieving and I have that right. If someone doesnt like to hear my feelings for you as they go up and down THEY can Fuck off. Understanding yourself and what you want is so important in life. It helps you gauge if what you are doing or what you are going to do is worth it to you and what you really want.

In my industry I can't afford to take on projects that I don't truly believe in as a director. Every time I go against my gut in this line of work, it has caused me grief. Making movies is a huge undertaking if you want it done right. Working on something you don't believe in is only going to short change yourself and the people you work for and with.
So ask yourself do you truly have a passion for this. Will it help my future or is it a just now scenario, Is it something that you can see yourself sticking it through when the going gets rough and is it something that is worth your precious time on this planet.
Only you can answer that for yourself... Make it count!

"When my 7 year old son went into the doctor for his physical they told me he was "failure to thrive" because he had not gained one pound the whole school year. I was told to put butter and syrup and load him with calories. I finally got him to like the shakes (he likes the chocolate) and he gained 6 pounds in 6 weeks! Thank you Isagenix!" Erin Brauer

August of 2013 to November of 2014. I have been on an incredible 15 month Isa journey. I'm so thankful that I changed my life 180 degrees to a healthier new me. I lost 100 lbs, I have a whole new outlook on life, healthy mind, body and soul. I fell in love, met my Isa Lady Brenda Melville. I'm one happy Isa individual with gratitude flowing through my entire body. if you are just starting your journey, my message is this; Don't ever quit, power... through, you got this. Attend all the Isa events that you can, have fun, learn, inspire, lead my example and stay on point with your journey. Thank you everyone for all your spectacular support during my journey. If you weigh 140 your daily protein intake should be 70 grams a day

1) A person who doesn’t get a lot of exercise only needs 1/2 gram of protein per target body weight. So if they want to weigh 140 pounds, they will need 70 grams of protein a day.

2) A person who is exercising, walking, running, biking, going to the gym a couple of times a week: These body types need 3/4 gram of protein per target body weight, so our same 140 pound target now needs 105 grams of protein a day.

3) Elite type athlete, the type of person who is working out at a very rigorous pace. This type of body needs 1 gram of protein per target body weight, so our 140 pound target now needs 140 grams of protein per day.

Optic neuritis and eye problems

Optic neuritis is the inflammation of the nerves in the eye.  This condition is estimated to affect over 50% of MS patients and is the first symptom in 15%.  It can manifest itself in double vision, pain in the eye, unclear vision or a "shimmering" effect. 
My doctor told me the shimmering is optic migraines. I get chevrons that jag horizontally and look like gel pins colored them..

This could happen to anyone, but if it becomes a recurring problem or appears to be persistent, you may want to consult a doctor.  It might not be MS – it could be a muscle problem, an unrelated nerve issue or something else – but it is worth getting checked out nonetheless!

Strange feelings in the arms or legs
Weakness, fatigue or clumsiness are not uncommon in the limbs for someone who is yet to be diagnosed.  Tingling or loss of sensation could also occur, and it is most common in the legs. FIRE PAIN ... nothing cools off the burning sensation. Except the Pacific ocean!

Muscle weakness
Are you having difficulty doing seemingly simple tasks due to muscle weakness?  This could be a sign that nerve signals may not be delivering properly within the brain; you should consult your doctor.. Have you held something and it slipped your grasp?  Clumsy?

Fatigue alone affects many people with a variety of conditions, MS among them.  In the early stages of MS, around 20% of patients report fatigue. I experience bone weary fatigue and it can appear an hour after a full nights sleep.. feeling as if I drove non stop from Phoenix to Dallas on the I-10.. bone weary.

Poor coordination 
In many cases of MS, strange gait when walking or a lack of balance could be the initial sign that something is wrong.  
You may have difficult walking straight, may lose balance easily and coordination may be effected. 

Lhermitte's Sign
This is an electrical sensation that runs down the spine and into the legs.  
It often comes out when the neck is bent forward and could be indicative of MS.

Spasticity is the inability to control muscles, 
and it leads to difficulty with spasms and stiffness. 
 This is very common among MS patients and causes increases
MS Fatigue because it happens at night when your trying to sleep..

Other MS symptoms besides chronic pain.. 

Vertigo, dizziness,  hand tremors, facial pain, muscle spasms, 
speech difficult and difficulty swallowing, incontinence........
It takes so much more energy to do task .. five times more than a non MSer.

Teeth ache!  It is why we pull our teeth out.. and we have phantom teeth aches. Which I think
is part of the Lhermittes..

The Vertigo.. you prefer to lay down to watch T.V. or get dizzy.  The second floor at the MALL
makes your legs collapse... 
WHOA down you go!

I forgot MS HUGS!
The MS HUG seems to be different for everyone from what I have read on the boards.
But for me, I cannot move and it feels like a ton of lead blankets are laid on top of
my chest, like getting an x-ray and I cannot breath..
Others say ''they feel tightly squeezed and cannot breath.''  

Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up! Healthy Habits

This rehydrates your body, revs up your digestive system, and gets things flowing. You may notice positive changes like clearer skin and better digestion. Bonus points if you add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar.

2. Do Not Check Your Email Or Phone For At Least An Hour

Do you sleep with your cell phone next to you and grab for it first thing when you wake? This is not a good habit. If you choose to resist the temptation to check your email and Facebook feed until at least an hour after waking up, you'll find that your mind is more clear, focused and happy.

3. Think Of One Thing For Which You Have Gratitude

This sets the stage for positivity throughout the day. If you come up with three or five things, even better.

4. Step Outside And Take A Deep Breath

Fill your lungs with fresh air. Even if it’s cold outside. This only takes 10 seconds! It reminds you that you are alive and breathing.

5. Move Your Body

You don’t necessarily have to do an intense workout before breakfast, but moving your body even a little is a great way to get the blood flowing and shake the body into wake-up mode. Simply doing a few stretches is a great option. Or turn on your favorite song and dance like no one is watching.

6. Take Time To Eat A Healthy Breakfast

Rather than reaching for a box of cereal, focus on getting real foods in your body. Eggs, soaked oats, and smoothies are all great options. (And they really don’t take that much time to prepare.) Try it out.

7. Say Your Affirmations

Look into the mirror and say something positive to yourself. Some ideas:

  • I radiate beauty, confidence and grace.
  • Every cell in my body is healthy and vibrant.
  • I feel great when I take care of myself.

My alarm is set to the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams. It’s impossible to not smile when this song plays. This, combined with the other habits below, set the tone for a productive, happy and healthy day.  Krista Butler

Some casting tips for directors out there!  By Kevin R. Phipps

1. You can succeed as a director by casting great actors. It's one of the important steps.
2. Cast your lead before anyone else. Then adjust the rest of the casting to blend with the lead.
3. Never cast two people who have the same energy, tempo, and rhythms. 
4. Always meet with every cast member before committing to him or her. Do they see the part the same way you do? Has their appearance changed?
5. Bond with as many cast as possible. Take them out for meals; encourage them to talk about themselves. Gain insight into the way they think and what pushes their buttons.
6. Be open and accepting in auditions. Don’t play director remember how tense the actor is and relax them.
7. Auditions are also free rehearsals where the actor is very open-minded.
8. Don’t solely rely on audition tapes or footage unless you directed the actor yourself. Who knows why their performance is good or bad.
9. Casting non-actors is most successful when they are playing a character close to what they are in real life.
10. Don’t cast anyone you don’t believe in. It’s better to quit the job than have someone who makes you look bad. And you will look bad.
