If you weigh 140 your daily protein intake should be 70 grams a day

1) A person who doesn’t get a lot of exercise only needs 1/2 gram of protein per target body weight. So if they want to weigh 140 pounds, they will need 70 grams of protein a day.

2) A person who is exercising, walking, running, biking, going to the gym a couple of times a week: These body types need 3/4 gram of protein per target body weight, so our same 140 pound target now needs 105 grams of protein a day.

3) Elite type athlete, the type of person who is working out at a very rigorous pace. This type of body needs 1 gram of protein per target body weight, so our 140 pound target now needs 140 grams of protein per day.
